The High Commission provides certification and legalisation of official documents including powers of attorney, attestations, certificates of life, and more.

What We Certify

General Certification and/or Legalisation

The High Commission provides certification and legalisation services for a range of official documents. The following are the main categories covered:

  1. Power of Attorney (Procuration)
  2. Application for Attestation of Names or Nationality
  3. Certificate of Life
  4. Certificate of Non-Impediment to Marriage

Procedure

  1. Photocopy of Cameroonian passport and UK residence permit (if applicable)
  2. Original and photocopy of all documents to be legalised

📋 Note

The above list is non-exhaustive. Each application will be assessed on the merit of the supporting documentation presented. The fee for certification is £20.00 per document (cash or postal order only).
